In this video I replace the passenger side upper ball joint on my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 2WD using a ball joint press. I show the key steps from removal to pressing the new joint in, plus a few tips to make the job smoother if you’re doing this at home.
If you’re hearing front-end squeaks/clunks, feeling looseness in the steering, or noticing uneven tire wear, the upper ball joint could be the culprit.
Vehicle: 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 2WD
Job: Passenger Upper Ball Joint (Press-In)
Tools used: Ball joint press + basic hand tools, breaker bar, jack, impact drill, 19 mm socket, 10mm socket and15mm wrench and socket.
⚠️ Safety first: use jack stands, work on level ground, and get an alignment after suspension work.
