Hōkoku-ji, or Takedera ("Bamboo Temple"), is a Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple in Kamakura, Japan, renowned for its dense grove of over 2,000 Moso bamboo stalks behind the main hall. Founded in 1334, the temple features walking paths through the bamboo forest, a tea house for matcha service, and offers public Zazen sessions.
