We admit it. North Fork American River is our favorite whitewater river. This river is near Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area. The entire area is rich with wilderness, rivers, lakes and pristine water.
And, now, it is threatened by the recent decision of the Bureau of Reclamation. The Bur of Rec is pulling all funding out of the Auburn State Recreation area due to lack of funds. Prob a million tourists flock to that area near Auburn, California to visit Mother Nature's wonderland.
Let's face it. We don't have much wilderness left near our metropolitan areas. And, this one is not just for paddlers and whitewater enthusiasts, but is a haven for fishermen, hunters, equestrians, backpackers, bicyclists and day hikers. Not, only that, but the area is home to world class triathalons and equestrian trails.

Please help us keep the Auburn State Recreation Area open. Famlies, friends and the rest of you, contact your legislators and demand that this area stay accessible to all!
