History:
The Nirnaeth Arnoediad was the Battle of Unnumbered Tears in the First Age.

In that doom-laden battle, the Dwarves of Belegost won great renown, for they fought in battle-masks of their own making, hidous to look upon, and with them, they could withstand even the fire of dragons.

Their axes rang against the iron hordes of Morgoth, and their lord, Azaghâl, dealt even Glaurung, Father of Dragons, a grievous wound. But Azaghâl perished beneath the beast, and with that, his kin ceased the fighting and bore him away, singing a funeral dirge, and even the enemies parted before them in fear and awe.
