The Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL have outstanding photo capabilities, even in low light. But when it comes to video, it's a bit harder to excel. No phone today performs well in low light when filming, but the Pixel 2 and it's big brother the 2 XL performed very well given that low bar.

Overall, I think the Pixel 2 tends to over expose video (main camera) when compared to the original pixel. In my testing, I found that the original Pixel handled that aspect better. The Pixel 2 handled focus and exposure shift a bit better and offered better colors. The stabilization is definitely better in the Pixel 2, but I did find one application where the stabilization becomes horrific (when strapped to a car) and the original Pixel pulled way ahead with buttery smooth video.
