Sinusitis is the condition of an infected sinus, a cavity which helps to keep our heads lightweight and maintains the flow of air in our heads.

Fever and headaches, especially in the nape of the neck, are the most common symptoms of an infected sinus. If the patient sneezes a lot, has fever and feels inflammation in their windpipe then these too are indicative of sinusitis.

Nasal polyp is one of the reasons which can cause sinusitis as there is muscle growth inside the nasal cavity. This causes congestion and inflammation in the sinus.

Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS) is another reason which can lead to the problem of sinusitis. In DNS, the nasal septum slightly shifts making one nostril narrower and this leads to congestion in the sinus and can develop into sinusitis.

Headaches, alteration in their voice and sneezing are the common symptoms which patients usually develop. At times, patients get a runny nose which generally happens due to allergic rhinitis.
