He has also attended many Model UN conferences over the years and has noticed a chain of disheartening elements in the Model UN circuit – from such conferences ending up being merely social events, to apparently experienced kids not knowing what they’re doing and perhaps most of all, the wrong idea about the concept of an Model UN – it’s an educational experience, not a “career”.

Rohil Deshpande, a 12th grader at Delhi Public School, is an aspiring lawyer, with a passion for public speaking, debating and swimming.
