Snowy walk on Toronto Danforth and Greektown during a big winter snowstorm. Orange snowfall warning was in place for Toronto as major winter storm covers southern Ontario. 20 to 30 cm of snow forecasted in the weather and cold temperatures. The winter snow storm has led to the widespread cancellations of events, and the closure of facilities, daycares, and schools across the GTA today. Snowfall breaks local record as OPP report 400 collisions and service calls. A record-setting storm snarled roads, disrupted transit, closed schools and put Toronto’s snow-clearing capabilities to the test Thursday, as cold weather and more wintry conditions loomed in the forecast.
