When Sonu and Sweety learn that their doll has been sold, they rush to look for the doll but once they find the kids who were gifted the doll, they come to know that the doll has been sold to H. L. Agarwal. Finally, after much confusion, they spot the doll and try to retrieve it, but the new owner doesn't want to let go of the doll; and, thus, begins a chase.

The story revolves around the three children of Vishnu, and his late wife, Sandhya. When the children get naughty, Mrs. Anand, the grandmother, decides to ship them off to a hostel. Sad, the children pray for their mother to be returned to them, and miraculously, their prayers are answered. Sandhya comes back as an angel with magical powers. Gili Gappa showcases the hilarious situations where Sandhya and the children battle everyday situations and occasionally, bad witches and wizards.
