Drum Head Comparison: Evans VS Remo. What’s the difference?

This is a video that I have been wanting to do for a long time because I know how much brand loyalty there is between these two companies for the drummers that play them.

Now this post is not about what brand is better then the other. This is simply coming from a unbiased point of view on what I thought about each head on this drum.

In a nutshell I thought the Evans G2 coated was well balanced with control and body yet the attack was really in your face. On the other hand I thought the Remo Emperor Vintage coated produced the same body and attack but was much more balanced in its delivery of it and I would have liked a little more attack tbh.

I very much enjoyed playing both and I know that these companies have been perfecting their craft over time creating great options for drums to play and experiment with.

PS: BIASED ALERT (Just my thoughts.)
For me personally I love using Remo because of the feel of the head under the stick, durability and how the collar of the head provides a blank canvas to shape whatever sound I desire.
