The issue is mainly affecting major hostel hubs such as Madhapur, Gachibowli, Kondapur, and Ameerpet, where thousands of students and IT employees depend on hostel mess facilities for daily meals.

To manage the situation, many hostels have switched to simpler dishes that consume less gas, including lemon rice, curd rice, upma, and dal-based meals.

With nearly three lakh people relying on hostel food in Hyderabad, the LPG shortage has created inconvenience for many residents.

Hostel operators are now hoping that LPG supplies return to normal soon so regular menu items like dosas and chapatis can be served again.
