so, so, so, i waited two years for this movie but i was so damn disappointed with this movie, where do i even start.
first off, i actually really enjoyed the cinematography, the porgs, rose, dj and some funny scenes, but what i didn't like? oh, boy.

(keep in mind that this is my opinion, feel free to disagree!!)
in my opinion the characterization was awful – i miss my beloved characters rey, finn and poe who were sadly not in the last jedi.
seriously, did rian johnson even watch The Force Awakens (2015), directed by J.J. Abrams??
why did this guy promised us we would be satisfied with the reveal of rey's parents? in an interview he stated that kylo ren believed in that moment it was true which means it's not 100% confirmed. and why did he retweet stormpilot fan art? just to queerbait us, is this riverdale??
also, why did he say finn would have an important role? Seriously, i'm so sad about finn.

j.j. abrams gave us the talented, beautiful and amazing john boyega as finn, fighting for him when kathleen kennedy didn't want him in and ignoring disgusting racists who wanted to boycott this movie because we have a sci-fi film with a leading woman, a leading black man, and a latino.
he also blessed us with a healthy, absolutely sweet and adorable interracial romance between finn and rey – and i'm still salty that so many people decided to ship rey with a man who kidnapped and abused her instead (not to add that she hates kylo ren so much, the mind abuse scene had confirmed rape parallels and fandoms like to look down on interracial couples like finn/rey, jessica/luke, barry/iris, kara/james or spock/uhura for obvious reasons) ((also... fanfictions where kylo is written as funny and caring,,, that's literally canon finn))
and then there's rian johnson – he wrote the characters ooc, cursed us with his mischaracterizations and stereotypes of poe, and tried EVERYTHING to make kylo ren likeable – he wanted a white male main character, he took him with kylo and literally ignored that he's a grown dude who chose the dark side, idolizes darth vader, is part of the first order, keeps the ash of his victims, etc.
i've had enough of this dude

idk man, i'm really tired of ppl hating on poe just because he ignored orders (jyn erso did literally the same in r1) and how rian rewrote him so he is the "hotshot flyboy who lovss his temper all the time", how many ppl think abuse is romantic, how many ppl ignore how much representation matters (no matter what: lgbt and poc characters or little girls seeing other girls as heroes) – like,, i didn't get sleep bc of y'all.mp4

anyway, if anyone is reading this, let me know how u felt about tlj!!!
