Curfew in Sunsari since 7 AM until further notice

Описание: The Sunsari District Administration Office has enforced an indefinite curfew in five market areas after a deadly clash between two communities in Kaptanganj, Dewanganj Rural Municipality. The violence claimed the life of 24-year-old Om Prakash Mehta and left several protesters, police officers, security personnel, and local residents injured. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, including the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

The curfew, which came into effect from 7:00 AM on Monday, covers Bhantabari Bazaar, Ghuski Bazaar, Kaptanganj Bazaar, Basti Bazaar and Dewanganj Bazaar. Movement and public activities remain prohibited within the designated areas until further notice.

A separate prohibitory order has also been issued across the entire Harinagar and Dewanganj rural municipalities. Gatherings of more than five people are banned from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and officials have warned that anyone violating the order may face a fine of up to Rs 5,000 and imprisonment for up to one month.
