Moving on to the Funk section of the book with Groove 11 Slow from the @TommyIgoeMusic @HudsonMusicDrums book Groove Essentials 1.0.
I am improvising around the main groove on this one.
The drum set I am playing is a 1967 @LudwigDrumsHQ Super Classic 13/16/22.
Snare drum is a PDP Concept Maple Black Wax (14x5.5).
13" K Zildjian Hats, 18" Paiste Giant Beat on my left, 21" @istanbulagopcymbals Mel Lewis Ride and then a 20" Paiste Giant Beat on my right.
I used eight microphones.
Two WA251s as spaced pair overheads, a Beta 52a inside the Bass Drum, a Neumann TLM102 about 2.5 inches in front of the BD resonant head, a Shure SM7B on the snare drum, a Shure SM81 on the hi-hat, a Shure SM57 on the rack tom, and a Shure SM58 on the floor tom.
