Sika, a global leader in construction solutions, has officially opened its new 280,000 sq ft Leeds Distribution Centre in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds. The launch event took place on Thursday, 17th July 2025 and welcomed local community members, regional stakeholders, and invited guests for a celebratory afternoon marking a major milestone in Sika’s UK growth strategy.
The event, held at the innovative facility located within the Sherburn42 logistics park, featured a facility tour, followed by lunch and opening speeches. Distinguished attendees included Dafydd Jenkins, Exeter Rugby Club Lock, who cut the ribbon, along with speakers Tom Forsyth and Darren Bunting from Sika, and James Farrar, Chief Executive of North Yorkshire Council – highlighting the significance of this investment for the local community and wider UK supply chain.
