💻💻 .HACK//INFECTION [PART 1] (PS2)

.hack//Infection follows the story of Kite, an ordinary player who logs into the massively popular VRMMO The World expecting nothing more than fun and adventure. But the game quickly takes a darker turn when a mysterious event leaves his friend comatose in the real world after an encounter with a strange, glitch-like monster. Confused and desperate for answers, Kite discovers that The World is hiding secrets-strange data anomalies, corrupted areas, and powerful forces that don’t behave like normal game code.

Guided only by fragments of clues and occasional help from other players, Kite takes on an unusual power that allows him to interact with the game in ways no normal user should. As he explores deeper into forgotten servers, sealed ruins, and unstable digital landscapes, he begins to realize that the crisis inside the game may be bleeding into reality itself.

With every dungeon he enters and every encrypted message he uncovers, Kite is drawn further into a mystery that challenges the boundaries between player and program, fiction and reality, and ultimately forces him to question who, or what, is truly in control of The World.
