This 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi is #388 of 400 examples produced for the Japanese market to commemorate Subaru’s 40th anniversary and their manufacturer’s titles in the World Rally Championship race series. Chassis 071667 was sold new in Japan before being relocated to the UK circa 2002 and later appeared on the cover of the November 2024 issue of evo magazine before being brought to the US in 2024. Finished in Sonic Blue Mica, the car features 22B-specific widened bodywork and rides on gold-finished 17″ BBS forged aluminum wheels coupled with red-finished brake calipers and a Prodrive-tuned suspension. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter flat-four linked to a five-speed manual transaxle and an all-wheel-drive system with an electronically locking center differential. Inside, Recaro front bucket seats trimmed in black and blue cloth are accompanied by a Nardi steering wheel as well as a Kenwood stereo. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2026, this 22B STi indicates 32k kilometers (~20k miles) and is now offered by 1600veloce—a BaT Local Partner—with a copy of evo magazine featuring the car as well as manufacturer’s literature, service records, a CarVX report, and a clean Montana title.
