"De Dheki De” is an experimental folk-fusion Bihu track that brings the heart of Assamese tradition into a new age soundscape. Conceptualized by Abhishruti Bezbaruah, the song uses the natural rhythms of the dheki (wooden rice pounder) along with saul jora (rice sounds) and blends them with ethnic instrumentation to create a vibrant, percussive musical experience. Rooted in the spirit of Rongali Bihu, the track reflects the energy, community, and festive preparations of rural Assam. Marking 10 years of her most loved track “Roi Roi Roti,” this release continues Abhishruti’s journey of innovation while staying deeply connected to her cultural roots.
