Step back to 1411 in Dordrecht, where the legendary Klinckaert first rang across a merchant’s table.
Originally introduced in 1354 by William V of Holland as the “Golden Shield,” and later refined under Albert of Bavaria, this iconic coin earned its nickname from the clear sound it made when dropped.
Now reborn as the Official Restrike “Klinckaert”, inspired by the 1411 issue of William VI of Holland, featuring the historic inscription XPC VINCIT, XPC REGNAT, XPC IMPERAT.
