I know, I made some videos criticizing the album when it first came out, but after I gave the album a second, third, fourth, and fifth chance, something really struck me. I decided it was time for a deeper analysis on the project, and after which, finally, I changed my mind. I really enjoy Don't Be Dumb. Is it Rocky's best project? I don't know. I really love Testing and his debut LIVE.LOVE.A$AP. Only time will tell whether or not the album aged well for me.

ASAP Rocky AKA Rakim Mayers of ASAP Mob is finally back with his long awaited album DON'T BE DUMB (FKA All Smiles) after nearly eight years of waiting! Fans are split like with Testing. Some decided Rocky was solidified as the best rapper alive, others thought it was mid, some thought it was good but not at all his best work.

When the album was first announced, the album cover was weak. It was a Playboi Carti I AM MUSIC rip off and I was quite disappointed. But, when Rocky officially rolled out the album, I was mesmerized by the characters he had introduced. After all, they were drawn by legendary artist and animator Tim Burton (best known for works such as Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline)! As I re-listened to the album, I realized that he created a really fun world for us fans to explore and I was ready to dive in. I loved these 6 characters and I couldn't let them go. The art for the album is what really pushed me to go back and revisit the album again and again until eventually... It clicked! I hope this video helps you find more meaning in this album as well!

A$AP Rocky dropped his fourth album Don't Be Dumb after 8 years in the making. But this isn't just an album, it's a movie woven together and told with the help of 6 characters. On Don't Be Dumb we're told the tales A$AP Rocky experienced during that 8 years we were left in the dark. To do so, he enlisted the help of Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, the former of which created this world in Don't Be Dumb that introduces the various sides of A$AP Rocky.
