উপকূলীয় সমভূমি অঞ্চল (The Coastal Plains) : দক্ষিণ ভারতের পূর্বদিকে বঙ্গোপসাগর এবং পশ্চিমদিকে আরব সাগরের উপকূল বরাবর গড়ে ওঠা সংকীর্ণ সমভূমি অঞ্চল দুটি উপকূলীয় সমভূমি নামে পরিচিত । এই অঞ্চলকে দু-ভাগে ভাগ করা যায় । যথা— (১) পূর্ব উপকূলীয় সমভূমি ও (২) পশ্চিম উপকূলীয় সমভূমি ।
