Princess Kate takes lead role at poignant Service of Remembrance for first time

Princess Kate has travelled to Staffordshire this morning to attend the Service of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum. It marks the first time she has attended the service, which began at 10:45am.
Wearing all black and a large-brimmed hat with a bow, Kate joined attendees in observing the two-minute silence at 11 a.m. before laying a wreath in remembrance of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and all those who have served in the Armed Forces.
The Princess, who's long brown hair was swept back in a low bun and wore two poppies pinned to her black coat, cut a solemn figure as those gathered paused to reflect on Britain's war heroes..
