The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said,... the magnitude 5-point-8 earthquake struck the Turkey-Iran border region on Sunday.
The center says the quake struck at a depth of 2 kilometers.
Several hours earlier,... a magnitude 5-point-7 earthquake hit Turkey near the border with Iran,... killing at least nine people and injuring more than 30 in Turkey.
More than 70 people were also injured in Iran.
