Discovering THAILAND’S HIDDEN GEM: A Mystical Mountain Temple Unknown to Tourists

Описание: Wat Khao Chom Thong, only 67 kilometres away from Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand is a genuine undiscovered Thailand gem. I’ve visited it 5 times now and never seen another foreign tourist. Best of all it’s open every day of the year and is totally free!

From the Temple (free car parking) at the bottom you ascend a staircase (just adventurous enough) to a plateau on top of a small mountain. Although it does involve a small amount of clambering over rocky terrain I think that most people of average fitness could manage it.

A trail along the plateau takes you to numerous cliffs and rocky viewpoints. Another stairway takes you back down to the grounds of the Temple. I’d say 2-3 hours is enough to ascend, explore and descend.
