Alaskan Malamutes (75-100 lbs) are larger, stronger, and more independent sled dogs with brown eyes, while Siberian Huskies (35-60 lbs) are smaller, faster, and more sociable, often with blue eyes. Malamutes are built for heavy pulling, whereas Huskies are designed for endurance. Both are high-energy, thick-coated, and prone to shedding.
