Introducing my all original, two tone AE86. This car is 1987, the last year for the AE86. It came equipped with every option: Power Windows, Cruise Control, Sunroof.
During my ownership, the head gasket blew. Instead of fixing the original engine, I opted to put in a lower mileage 7 rib 4AG bluetop (at the time they were readily available)
The original distributor was severely leaking oil, so opted to replace it with a brand new Toyota Distributor from an AW11 MR2. It is a bolt in unit and has a built in heat shield. You cannot use AE86 distributor cap however, also wire lengths are different.
The car still needs a lot of work, but is still one of my favorite cars I've ever owned.
Stay tuned as I continue to maintain and improve the car. I'm not planning on doing anything wild, just keep it nice and clean.
