Most of places of the city is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Dowlling House is the oldest building in Gelena. Now its Historic House Museum.The Galena river also known as Fevre or Fever river. This river rises in Lafayette county, wiscosin flow through the city of galena and confluence with the Mississippi southwest of Galena Illinois.
