The 5th and final song to complete the 5 song series of building self control!
Prayer: That we as believers in Christ hold ourselves accountable, by not accepting our excuses, bad behaviors, hang ups, and self condemnations. To value community. Hebrews 10:25 says: "not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching."
Every video released is NOT monetized. There will be NO financial gain from any video that I release. This is for people to have another source that helps change their lives, and to point people to Christ!
Call To Action: To find a bible teaching church, NOT a prosperity gospel church, NOT a church that preaches with no scripture. A church that teaches the raw and unadulterated gospel, exegesis. Learn how they do church, how they are surrendered to the Lord. Ask questions in that group, make friends in that group, grow in knowledge in that group, but most importantly, READ the scriptures for yourself! It's YOUR walk with God. Your community in Christ is there to help strengthen you, correct you/hold you accountable, and shepherd you. A surrendered Christian community is a mighty tool and gift from God. A reminder of his love, grace, and mercy. I pray you find a rooted Christian community.
Lyrics:
Stay accountable, isolation kills discipline!!!
When you remove yourself from community
there is no one to challenge your excuses.
no one to speak truth into your blind spots.
No one to help you stay on track. Proverbs 27:17 says Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another.
Spiritual strength develops in the context of relationships where challenge, correction and encouragement are present.
How can I pray for you?
Accountability is not a sign of weakness; it is a mark of wisdom. God uses community to protect us from ourselves. He places people in our lives to help guide, mentor, and strengthen us.
These are not just friends, they are instruments of God's discipline and grace. Trusted mentors, spiritual leaders, or accountability partners can help us stay honest.
Recognize areas of weakness and maintain the habits that cultivate self control.
You start learning from others experiences. Seeing pitfalls before they happen, and embracing strategies that strengthen your walk with God.
Community multiplies the effects of your efforts.
It amplifies your victories and cushions your failures.
