We will talk more of the unrealistic expectations on dating apps, from all parties, but before we do, we have to address the chance of... catfishing. Does one of the top dating apps institute an effective procedure to stop it?

For this experiment, we will use bumble as tinder... is apparently too advanced for the tech that I have at my disposal.

Reading bumble's site would make it seem like their army of hoomans and robuts are more than capable of handling such an easy task. Well... let's put it to the test...

This is our second experiment performed on this channel. The groundwork:

Can an average female easily pass as a male model with bumble's face verification program, thus, having the possibility to pose as an individual they are not (known as catfishing)?

If they can't, is there a workaround, or is bumble's army sufficient to eliminate such terrible threats to safety and comfort? Yeah there's a workaround, just get a picture of a feller, shown in part 1...

Are bumble's procedures effective enough to stop a woman from posing as a male model?

Also, Forbes is pretty confident in bumble too, noting in 2021

"Verification is completed by taking a selfie in a prescribed pose so a Bumble employee can match it to the pictures on the profile. Users have greater discretion to interact only with verified profiles or make the conscious choice to interact with profiles that have a lesser degree of trust associated with them."
