YR-AME is an ex-Lufthansa Boeing 737-530, built in 1991 and handed over to the Romanian carrier in 2016, giving this aging jet a second chance in remaining airborne. Blue Air has initiated a fleet modernisation initiative, having already introduced Boeing 737 MAX 8s in the fleet.
