Tom Odell - Sydney - 16 January 2026

Описание: It was a long wait for me to finally see Tom Odell. It had been a review of his 2014 Australian tour which caused me to check out his music and I then started looking forward to his next visit. His next visit was last year with two special Sydney Opera House performance, tickets for which all disappeared before I could grab one. So, 12 years later I finally got my chance. Tom and his band didn’t disappoint.

With so many great songs to choose from, it was hard limiting my videoing. But I’m happy with the nine songs I ended up with:

The setlist was slightly different to the recent European shows and we didn't get any of the background videos. But that was OK. I think videos can sometimes be distracting and I was more than happy with the simple but spectacular light show. I was also happy with the audience, much younger than I’d anticipated, and with the exception of some hysterical screams, incredibly quiet throughout. I’ll take phones in the air over voices in my ears any day.

It was a truly wonderful night. I can only hope that Tom returns a lot sooner next time.
