When You Talk TRASH To Luka And It BACKFIRES Badly...

Last night we had 3 insane endings, and we saw what happens when you try to talk trash to Luka Doncic. But we gotta start in Oklahoma City where the last two champs clashed in a thriller ending. In Tatum’s and Jay Dub’s absence, it was SGA & Holmgren against JB & Pritchard in this game. And the Celtics struck first. Payton spoiled us with these buzzer beaters, it’s just what he does… But the Thunder response was inevitable, and Shai broke some history while doing it… Alexander is definitely one of the most reliable guys I’ve watched night in and night out.
And we can say the same thing about Jaylen Brown this season. That was a power play by Brown, reaching all the way up to block Holmgren’s shot, and dunk the ball on the other end. He went neck and neck with SGA all game long, but the hometown hero was on a whole nother level in the 4th. Shai was the sole guy scoring for OKC in a span of 5 minutes. And the Celtics were pretty quiet during that period as well, with points coming exclusively from the free throw line. That is, until Pritchard beat another buzzer! So, a couple of minutes and 5 free throws later, Brown broke the 30 point mark first, putting the Celtics up by 2 entering the clutch.
But that’s when Alexander took over the show again. The MVP puts his team up by 4 forcing the timeout by Joe Mazzulla. And I gotta give props to the Thunder's defense on Jaylen Brown in the final period, keeping him to just 2 of 8 from the field. But luckily for Boston, the Pritch was still preaching! Payton tied the game on a wild contested shot over Shai. So, with the entire arena on its feet with little over a minute left, it’s only fitting for him to respond…
And he does just that with his patented move. Snaking through the defense before the pullup. Butter. You see the graphic here, he’s leading the league in clutch points this season.
JB doesn’t blink either, and stays calm at the foul line, knocking down both shots to tie it up.
But he got subbed out after committing his 5th foul on this play, which resulted in SGA against Scheierman up top…
