Spyder F3 review // Can Am Spyder F3, a different kind of motorcycle! A lot of fun a lot of features

Описание: Thinking about purchasing a Can-Am Ryker - Spyder F3 - Spyder RT? This review covers features and opinion on my Custom Can-Am Spyder F3.

I wanted to briefly cover some of the questions I get asked by people that see me on the bike.

1. Is it fast?
2. How much did it cost?
3. Is it a motorcycle?
4. Is it safe?
5. Does it ride good?

So first, it is fast. 0 – 60 in about 6 seconds and tops out around 125mph. It seems to do best in the ranges of 50 – 100mph. On the interstate I have no trouble keeping up or passing vehicles. It has 6 speeds and reverse. The semi-automatic does a good job of shifting.

Second, it is a little on the pricey side. The MSRP is $17,999 but I have yet to see one at that actual cost new. They mainly start out in the $20,000 range. The RT or larger models of the Spyder’s cost even more. The newest edition to the Spyder line, the Ryker, starts around $8,000.

Third, it is a motorcycle basically, but it does not drive like one. It does not lean to steer, it is heavier so is not as fast, cannot lane share, and to me is a better ride and more comfortable. It is considered an Autocycle. In some states, you do not need a motorcycle license in order to drive one.

Fourth, Safety. Yes, it is safe and Can-Am has done a very good job in making it that way. With ABS, stability control, and numerous other safety features, the bike is very safe. Maybe even safer than the majority of 2-wheel motorcycles.

The last question is oddly the last question I get asked by people as well. Does it ride good? I am very pleased with the way it rides. Especially when you have a passenger on the back. The stability control is impressive and when riding with a passenger, you do not feel them at all. Even at high speeds the bike is comfortable and stable. In traffic, whether going slow or fast, the way the bike rides, steers, brakes and handles, you will have no trouble staying comfortable and safe.
