Описание: Ascending Paper Chromatography is used for the separation and identification of amino acids based on the Partition phenomenon. In ascending paper chromatography, solvent moves upwards through chromatography paper along with the dissolved amino acid by capillary action. The amino acids travels at different rate. The separated amino acids can be observed using a visualizing agent like ninhydrine, that give purple coloured amino acids in the chromatogram. Each amino acids has distinct Rf value based on which it can be identified by comparing with the standard values.
