I would like to explain you the characteristics and basic concepts of Case in general. In this lesson, I will discuss Relativsatz ( Dativ) .
German relative clauses in the dative case (Relativsätze im Dativ) use relative pronouns (dem, der, dem & denen) to replace a direct object from the main clause. The verb moves to the end of the clause. The relative pronoun matches the gender/number of the noun it describes, but its case is determined by its function inside the relative clause.
