Mangaluru: Anonymous Complainant Questioned for Two Days in Dharmasthala Mass Burial Case, SIT Chief Mohanty Joins Probe
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the sensational Dharmasthala mass burial allegations has intensified its investigation by questioning the anonymous complainant over the weekend.
The complainant, who claims to have buried hundreds of bodies in Dharmasthala, appeared before SIT officials at the IB office in Mallikatte, Mangaluru, on both Saturday and Sunday. He was brought in by lawyers and wore a black mask to protect his identity. His statements are being recorded by investigating officer Jitendra Kumar Dayama, with possible videographic documentation.
On Sunday, SIT Chief Pranav Mohanty joined the investigation, marking a significant development in the case. Mohanty flew in from Bengaluru and arrived at the SIT office around 12 pm, accompanied by officers M.N. Anucheth and Jitendra Kumar Dayama.
With Mohanty’s presence, the SIT is expected to intensify its scrutiny of the complainant’s claims, which have triggered widespread attention and concern.
