A CASTLE, MEDIEVAL RUINS AND A BIT OF MODERN ARCHITECTURE.

Описание: This week join me on a walk through time, from the castle and ancient ruins of the Hawarden Estate in North Wales to the modern architecture of Stillwater's House on the Avington Estate in Hampshire. A tale of two styles of living, the first eclectic and colourful filled with vintage and antique treasures mixed with modern and the other sleek and minimalist with a block colour modernist palette. Both beautiful in their own way, but which would you prefer to live in?

At the Hawarden estate I was invited by my friend Leah (My Mulberry House) to join her and three other friends for a two night stay in the West End portion of the castle which is available too rent from www.hawardenestateholidays.co.uk It was two blissful days of country walks and pub suppers, ending each evening with a chat and hot chocolate in front of a roaring log fire.

The second stay was in celebration of my friend Erica Davies and her fourth collection for the George at Asda brand. In keeping with her colourful and modern leisurewear pieces we stayed at Stillwater's House located at the water's edge at Avington Lakes. The house is a stunning piece of modern architecture overlooking Stillwater's lake with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
