Trackside: Freight Action at North Geelong & Gheringhap featuring Aurizon's 7MP1- 15/4/23

Описание: Video from an overcast and occasionally wet 15th of April 2023 and my first visit to the Geelong area in a long time came about with the intention of catching Aurizon's new 7MP1 superfreighter from Victoria Dock to Kwinana operated for Team Global Express, the second such train after one the week beforehand. Due to the short siding space at Victoria Dock, the train has to be split at Moorabool Loop on Geelong's northern outskirts and taken into Melbourne in two halves, the first with ACD6051 and ACD6052 while the second featured G535. In an interesting move the halves are ran one in behind the other for the trip to Adelaide resulting in the ACD's leading the way with G535 buried mid-train.

We also see a few movements from Pacific National at North Geelong, featuring G543 and G541 on 9248/9247 into and out of the North Geelong grain loop as well as NR61 on 7978V wagon transfer from Inverleigh and XR's 550, 555 and 553 pulling into the Thompson Road sidings with another grain rake to form 9155 later that night.
