We stayed at Hotel Villa San Pio on the Aventine Hill. We took a dog friendly walking tour with @tourguidemitra and visited many sights of Rome including the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain. We took a food tour with Fabio Porro the next day which was an easy relaxing walk through lesser known areas. of Rome.
Rome is a 3 and a half hour drive from Positano. There is also a direct bus once daily and train connections from Naples or Salerno.
