Описание: In this webinar, we will learn about the applications of bioinformatics and data science in healthcare research. Dr. Sengupta's talk will introduce us to the concept of network construction and inference as an elegant approach to understanding disease pathogenesis.

Dr. Sengupta is a self-motivated, enthusiastic computational biologist and teacher who seeks excellence in bioinformatics and systems biology research and education. He and his team primarily employ computational tools to examine metabolic and gene regulatory disease networks, as well as to better understand disease progression and molecular processes, uncover new pharmaceutical targets, and suggest drug re-purposing options.

Sci-Omics is an initiative taken by the students associated with Pine Biotech (OmicsLogic). The goal of this club is to help students learn about bioinformatics research via group sessions, easy-to-take courses, debates, and discussions. This club welcomes students from all fields of life sciences to come to meet together and learn from and with each other.
