ADHD Testing for Adults: Don’t be Afraid!

Описание: In retro spect, I wasted time and energy that could have gone into treating my ADHD.

I had my first ADHD hunches a few years ago. It took me another half a year to even ASK for an ADHD appointment. Another year to decide I was going to pay for ADHD testing myself to get an early appointment. I lost a lot of time that could have gone towards treatment in fear.

Are they going to notice my ADHD or did I get too good at masking?
What if it's not ADHD?
Are they going to just ask questions?
Will I be able to EXPLAIN myself?

Luckily I was recommended a clinic and knowing that they ASK and let patients EXPLAIN helped... a lot.
Yes I was still nervous going in.
Yes, some fears have to be faced head on.
But at least I now have clarity and a plan to move forward.
Even if the journey's only just begun.
