The Toyota Yaris range is now hybrid only. And because "hybrid" was becoming too commonly used, the brand is now calling its petrol-electric models HEV, because Hybrid Electric Vehicle makes it more interesting. Maybe.

The Yaris is a little hatchback but it has a big price tag. In fact, you can save thousands of bucks and get into a really efficient hybrid alternative, or a fully electric hatchback, for less money nowadays.

So does it still make sense to buy this small car?
