Christmas Market and WinterFest at the Tryon International Equestrian Center

The Christmas Market opened the WinterFest season today at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, NC.

The Market continues this Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM until 5 PM.

Come out this weekend and check out all the popup vendors here for the Market as well as many of the year-round shops. And on top of that, you can even go ice skating and sledding.

It is free to park and enjoy the holiday spirit. The carousel is also free for children and adults. TIEC is dog friendly. Restaurants are open. There is a fee for skating and sledding. These are just some of the events happening during Winterfest. There's also an amazing drive-thru light show (fee charged), visits with Santa, and more.

Garmin GPS 66i, handheld GPS receiver for hiking, adventuring, geocaching, and more.
I bought this for the SOS feature as a solo RVer and hiker. It has way more features than I needed, but it also has plenty of features I use on a regular basis. You do need to purchase a subscription through Garmin in order to use the SOS feature as well as being able to give your friends a way to follow your route or “find you” should something happen.

Garmin InReach Mini 2
This is a much smaller and lighter version of the GPS 66i mentioned above. I owned this first and bought it just for the SOS feature and the ability to track back to my starting point. It also can enable family members to locate you in an emergency or follow along on your trail. It doesn’t have all the features of the 66i, but if you’re worried about your safety and aren’t going to go geocaching…this is all you need. I didn’t want to carry two devices when one will do which is why I sold the Mini 2 and bought the other.
