What if, when the Savior said "Peace, be still", He was actually speaking to His disciples, as he calmed the stormy sea?
The Savior has instructed us to "Be still, and know that I am God." Another word I think of when I read that verse is "trust".
It's easy to trust in God when life is going well. But what about when life gets hard? When everything seems to fall apart? One of the main reasons we are here on Earth is to trust in God, when He seems far away.
I'm trying to get into the habit of telling God that I trust Him, every time I feel fear, pain, or suffering; even though it's hard in the moment. I'm grateful that I can come closer to Jesus Christ by empathizing with HIS suffering, through enduring pains, hardships, and challenges of my own.
