Perth and e-scooters

Yes, it's been nearly two months since a video has been posted - things have been busy. Once again, I'm in Perth for a visit, and I finally have some time on my hands, so I'll be posting the odd video on things that seem to work over here when it comes to active transport. e-scooters are not my favourite thing, but they seem to be doing well over here, so it's a topic worth covering. Cyclists are having to share the shared paths with an increasing number of electric everything users, so we need to have a proper look at the good, the bad and the ugly of electric devices.
My personal belief is that private e-scooters work in Perth because they can be used on an existing, high quality network of shared paths. They seem to fit in well for trips that are too far to walk, but too short to cycle - and they are easier to park at an office. The paths aren't swarming with them though - I'd say that bikes outnumber them 20:1 or more - but they are out there, and I'm seeing some every single day.
