Is the RTX 4080 powerful enough to play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in VR? In this video we take a look at this along with 8 other VR games (namely Beat Saber, Contractors, Vader Immortal, Red Matter 2, Assetto Corsa, The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners, Half Life Alyx and Lone Echo 2) to find out just how powerful Nvidia's RTX 4080 is, and whether or not the 4080 is the right choice for you.
Thanks to the introduction of the Oculus (aka Meta) Quest 2, Virtual Reality has gained a lot of popularity over the past couple of years and has begun to make it's way into the main stream. While the Quest 2's stand alone capabilities are impressive, the BEST VR experiences are still only available on PC. The RTX 4000 series is Nvidia's latest family of GPU's featuring their Ada Lovelace GPU architecture. It's been touted as their most powerful family of GPU's ever (it is their newest so I should hope so) so I'm excited to put the 4080 through it's paces. There's more than a few 4080 reviews on YouTube, but very few of them talk about it's performance in PC VR games. If you own a Quest 2 and are wanting to get into PC VR and looking at purchasing an RTX 4080 for it; well, how about we cut the chit chat and get into it. Enjoy. :)
