Описание: Salpalinja is a 1200 km long fortification line which was built between 1940-1944 to defend Finland against Soviet offensive. At the end of the fortification work the defensive line comprised 728 reinforced concrete bunkers, 3000 wooden field fortifications, 225 km of stone anti-tank obstacles, more than 300 km of barbed-wire obstacles and more than 350 kilometres of battle and communication trenches. Even nowadays many parts of the line are well preserved. This video is filmed in Joensuu.
