Commission was and always will be negotiable.
As a buyer, you MUST have a written compensation agreement with your realtor before seeing any properties.
In my opinion, most sellers will still be paying the buyer’s agent commission to sell their property quickly and get the maximum price.
As a buyer, you have the option to only look at properties where sellers are offering buyer’s agent compensation.
Your RESPONSIBILITY as a buyer is to hire a REALTOR who is experienced and capable of guiding you and negotiating on your behalf from showing to the closing table.
