The amendment also proposes changes to the National Council for Transgender Persons, ensuring rotational representation from State Governments and Union Territories. Additionally, individuals receiving a certificate of identity will be able to update their official documents accordingly.
Overall, the bill aims to improve implementation of transgender protection laws, strengthen legal safeguards against exploitation, and reinforce the constitutional principles of dignity and bodily autonomy.
