In a pre-dawn operation on Friday, Assam Police repelled 10 illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators from the Sribhumi sector as part of the state’s ongoing eviction drive. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a post on X, said stern action against infiltration will continue and warned that attempts to alter Assam’s demography “will not be tolerated.”
